General Questions
What is GameChange?
GameChange is a fan experience-based program that allows you to support a college athletic program of your choice in new and exciting ways.
How does it work?
GameChange and its partners provide a Round Up donation program benefitting collegiate athletic programs with a sweepstakes prize pool. You can sign up with any Visa or Mastercard credit or debit card and choose a school to support. Then, each purchase you make while opted into the program will be rounded up to the next dollar (the “Round Up”), and a portion of that Round Up will be donated to your school and a portion will be used to grow the sweepstakes prize pool and cover the expenses of the program. Every purchase also enters you into a sweepstakes for a chance to win prizes from the prize pool. You may unenroll at any time.
How will my donation be used?
A portion of your donated Round Up will be sent to United Charitable, a trusted partner of GameChange, and United Charitable will send your donation to your school of choice once a month. The college athletic fund you selected during the enrollment will receive the donation from United Charitable. Each school will apply your donations at the sole discretion of the school.
How do I sign up for GameChange?
Creating an account is easy. Visit https://gogamechange.com/ to enroll. You’ll need to provide your name, email address, phone number, and payment information for donation.
Who can participate in the GameChange sweepstakes?
The sweepstakes are open to all eligible participants in the United States. For Online Entry, you can enroll in the GameChange program and set up your Visa or Mastercard for the Round Up program. Each processed transaction is an entry to the sweepstakes; however, no purchase is necessary to enter. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning. You may also participate without making a purchase.
May I participate in the sweepstakes without a purchase?
Yes. GameChange provides a free alternative method of entry to each sweepstakes. To enter with a free Alternative Method of Entry, please submit a piece of 3” x 5” paper with the program name “GameChange Sweepstakes,” such Entrant’s handwritten first and last name, complete home address (no P.O. Boxes), and email address on the paper. Mail to: Harness Technologies, Inc. C/O Gamechange, 2261 Market Street Suite 86129, San Francisco, CA 94114.
Are there any geographical restrictions?
GameChange is currently only available to United States and the District of Columbia residents. We hope to expand the program in the future.
Who is not eligible to participate in the GameChange program?
Individuals who are not eligible to participate include:
- Persons who are under the age of eighteen (18) years of age or the age of majority in their state of residence (which is nineteen (19) in Alabama and Nebraska, twenty-one (21) in Mississippi, and eighteen (18) in all other states) as of the date of entry.
- Officers, directors, managers, and employees of Harness and each of its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and related companies.
Are my donations tax-deductible?
Yes. Donations to charitable organizations like United Charitable and collegiate athletic departments are generally tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Is there a cost to participate in GameChange?
When you enroll your Visa or Mastercard in the program, you are giving GameChange and its partners permission to round up your purchases to the next dollar and charge your enrolled card at the end of each month. You may unenroll at any time. No purchase is required to set up an account at gogamechange.com. No purchase is required to enter into the active GameChange sweepstakes.
What are the benefits of participating in GameChange?
By enrolling in the GameChange program, you have the opportunity to support the college athletic program of your choice with your everyday purchases and get the chance to win exciting prizes. Each purchase is rounded up to the next dollar and becomes a donation to your team and a sweepstakes entry for you.
How much is donated to the athletic department?
The exact donation amount depends on the Round Up generated by your purchase. A portion of every Round Up goes to the school of your choice as well as toward growing the sweepstakes prize pool.
Can I choose which athletic department receives my donations?
Yes! When enrolling in GameChange, you can select the college athletic department you want to support.
I don’t see my school’s athletic department during the school selection process?
We may not have your school represented in this program yet. We are working to onboard additional Division I, II, and III schools.
Can I designate a specific program within the athletic department to receive my donations?
At this time, no. We are working on a future capability where you can designate your donations to support a specific program within the athletic department of your choice.
Enrollment and Account Creation
What information do I need to provide to create an account?
You will need to provide your name, email, and U.S. phone number. You will also need to complete a verification process from your mobile device to finalize your account creation.
How do I log in to my GameChange account?
You can log in using your phone number and a verification process by visiting this link.
What if I already have an account?
If you already have an account, you will be prompted to log in using your registered phone number.
Which banks and card networks are compatible with GameChange?
Currently, GameChange only accepts Visa and Mastercard (excluding Mastercard-branded credit and debit payment cards issued by Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.) credit or debit cards for enrollment.
Can I enroll my Visa / Mastercard prepaid card or gift card in GameChange?
No. Prepaid cards are not supported.
Can I enroll multiple Visa or Mastercards into the GameChange program?
At this time we only accept one Visa or Mastercard per account.
Can I opt out of receiving emails or text messages from GameChange?
Yes. You may reply STOP to unsubscribe to text messages. Click the “Unsubscribe” link on any email from GameChange or Harness to opt out of emails.
Billing and Payment History
What donation methods are accepted?
We accept Visa and Mastercard (excluding Mastercard-branded credit and debit payment cards issued by Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.) for donations. You can add your donation information during the enrollment process.
How is my payment information used?
Your payment information is used to process donations to your selected school of choice at the end of each month through Harness and their partner United Charitable.
Can I change my payment method?
Yes, you can update your payment method through your dashboard. Navigate to the settings and enter your new card information to replace the existing one.
How can I view my payment history?
You can view your payment history, including all charges and donations, through your profile in the dashboard.
Will I receive a receipt for my donation?
Yes, you will receive a receipt after every round up. If your donations exceed $250.00 in a calendar year, you will receive an additional annual receipt at the beginning of the following year.
What types of transactions are eligible for Round Up donations?
Most everyday purchases made with your enrolled Visa or Mastercard will be eligible for Round Up donations.
Is there a minimum amount I need to spend to generate a round-up donation?
No, there is no minimum purchase amount required. Even small purchases will result in a Round Up donation to the athletic department of your choice.
I don’t see any Round Up donations reflected in my account statement. Is there a delay?
There may be a delay between your purchases and the Round Up amount appearing in your account. Typically, round-ups are processed at the end of each month.
Can I track my Round Up donations and sweepstakes entries?
Yes. You will be able to view your Round Up totals in your monthly credit card statement. Every Round Up event is an entry into the sweepstakes.
Does the Round Up program affect the rewards I get from my credit card?
Your rewards program should not be affected by the GameChange Round Up program. Round Up contributions are generated by your purchase, not from any points or rewards you might earn through your credit card program.
How does such a small amount of money make a difference?
While individual Round Ups might seem small, when many participants are enrolled, the collective impact can be significant.
Program and Sweepstakes Details
How do I choose a school to support?
You can select a school from a searchable list provided during the enrollment process. We have a list of participating schools that you can choose from.
What happens after I enroll in the program?
After enrolling, you will receive a confirmation via email. Your enrollment details will also be displayed on your dashboard.
Can I unenroll from the program?
Yes, you can unenroll at any time by navigating to the unenrollment step via your dashboard. This will cancel any pending or future payments, but you will still be able to redeem any prizes won.
Are there limits to the number of sweepstakes entries?
There are no limits to the number of times you can enter the sweepstakes. Every purchase on your enrolled Visa or Mastercard is an entry and every free alternative method of entry is an entry.
How often are sweepstakes drawings held?
Sweepstakes drawing frequency can vary. It could be weekly, monthly, or at predetermined intervals throughout the program.

Prizes and Redemptions
How do I win prizes?
Once you enroll your Visa or Mastercard in the GameChange program, every purchase on your enrolled Visa or Mastercard is an entry into the sweepstakes.
How do I know if I won a prize?
Prizes won in the sweepstakes will be visible on your dashboard. You will also receive notifications prompting you to claim any prizes you win.
How do I redeem my prizes?
If you win a prize, we’ll notify you by email and text message. You can redeem your prize by following the instructions in the notification.
Are prizes always redeemable?
Yes, prizes remain redeemable at all times.
Are there taxes on prizes?
All federal, state, and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the prize winners unless otherwise noted by the IRS.
Support and Additional Information
Is there a way to share the program with others?
Yes, you can share the sweepstakes program via email or text message using the share feature available on the dashboard.
How do I unenroll from GameChange?
You can unenroll from GameChange at any time by logging into your account and going to the settings page. This action will stop support of your selected school and all future payment entries to the sweepstakes. This will cancel any pending or future payments, but you will still be able to redeem any prizes won.
Security & Privacy
Is my credit card information secure?
Yes, GameChange uses secure connections to process your transactions through its partnership with Harness and Stripe. Your credit card information is not shared with the program and remains secure with your issuing bank.
How is my personal information used?
Your personal information is used solely for program administration purposes, such as sweepstakes entries and communication about the program. For more information on our use of personal information, please review our privacy policy.
